Buer

Buer is a black metal, shoegaze, ambient and doom project from Chesapeake, Virginia. It begins on 8 April 2009 as an ambient project and is the work of Matt Thyssen, who handles all guitars, bass, vocals and programming. All of the music comes from his home studio.

Releases and development

The project first appears with a split release with Dark Metamorphosis, issued on tape through Thorn Laceration Records. Its second release, My Journey's End, is self-released. Buer later appears on a split CD with Garden of Grief, released by Ashes of Paltry Souls in November 2011. A full-length album is in progress.

Earlier name

Before using the Buer name, the project operates as a side-project of One Lifeless Eye and later changes its name to Salivating Lamb. Under the Buer moniker, one track, “Dogwomb,” is released by FSS as part of a free digital compilation.
