Buenos Aires

Buenos Aires are a Midlands rock band from Leicester, England. They are a four-piece post-hardcore and alternative group, and their music combines soft, melodic passages with abrupt, noisy breakdowns and catchy choruses.

Releases

The band’s debut EP, A Landscape To A Blind Man’s Eye, is released in September 2008 and later sells out. In 2009 they issue Demos, a free release containing four new songs, and make it available alongside the debut EP as a free download. They release the EP Fair Winds in 2011.

Style and approach

Buenos Aires work with a strong DIY ethic, recording and producing their own material. They also work closely with the local grass-roots label Robot Needs Home.

Live activity and members

The band places emphasis on live performance and plays across the country. Their support slots include dates with Maybeshewill, Johnny Foreigner, And So I Watch You From Afar, Adebisi Shank, Sucioperro, Dananananaykroyd, Tubelord, Blakfish, Post War Years, Brontide, Cats & Cats & Cats, ox.eagle.lion.man, Mutiny on the Bounty and The James Cleaver Quintet. The group consists of Jake Wright, Nathan Gascoyne, Cem Gurkan and Matt Daly.
