Bubamara
Bubamara is the name of two different groups. One is based in Treviso, Italy, and performs songs written by its leader, Alberto Cendron. The other is a group from Uppsala, Sweden, active around 2000, with members from different countries and other groups.
The Uppsala group plays Balkan-influenced music with a softer sound than many bands in the same field, and uses brass, concertina and Moroccan drums. It also makes a non-commercial CD from a concert at Trädgårdscafét, a venue that later becomes a house converted into flats.
