Brunswick

Brunswick is a pop-punk and rock group formed in Andover, Massachusetts in 2003. The band starts with founding members Mike Addonizio on guitar and Joe Broderick on bass, who recruit vocalist Ian Bergeson and drummer Craig Bray. It then begins recording home demos and playing local shows, and later adds second guitarist Andrew Buonfiglio as its sound broadens to include more styles and influences.

Early releases and label activity

In 2005, local startup label Four Square Records notices the band, and Brunswick releases its debut full-length, Told In Photographs, on the label. The record has limited distribution and receives a lukewarm critical response. After drummer Craig Bray leaves to study at NYU, Mike Moschetto, also known as Il Presidente, joins on drums. Four Square then collapses.

EPs, label dispute and line-up changes

With a new sense of freedom, the band records the My Name Is Disaster EP with producer John Naclerio and attracts the attention of Red Blue Records. Brunswick signs to the label and is scheduled to release another record the following summer, but the studio sessions do not lead to the planned Here You Are...There You Go EP, and the band parts ways with the label at the end of 2007. Around the same time, Addonizio leaves the group. The remaining members rework the line-up, moving Moschetto to guitar and bringing in Matt Foley on drums.

Later configuration

This version of Brunswick writes and records the D.I.Y. EP and plays a few shows, but Moschetto and Buonfiglio later leave the band. Their final show together takes place in May 2008. The remaining members take time out before announcing another return in October 2008, with Bergeson moving to rhythm guitar and Kenneth Celli joining on guitar.
