Broken 3 Ways are a ska-punk group from the Wirral, active since 2008. They perform as a seven-piece and are known for energetic live shows that build a following across the Wirral and Liverpool music scene.

Style and influences

Their sound combines punk, ska and ska-punk with dual vocals, skanking guitars and brass. The band cites Streetlight Manifesto, Sublime, Rancid, Reel Big Fish and Capdown among its influences.

Line-up

By 2013 the group settles into a seven-piece line-up of Jay Peers Bow on vocals and saxophone, Scott Hyland on vocals and guitar, Jay Aldred on trumpet, Chris Gartman on guitar, Fal on bass, Shaun Price on keys and Ben Green on drums.

Live work and activity

Since forming, the band plays hundreds of shows and supports acts including The Skints. They also appear at festivals across the North West, including Zanzifest, Fort Perch Rocks, The Gathering, Port Life and Summer Jam.

Recognition

The group receives praise from Antipop Records, which describes them as one of the best new bands breaking out of the North West, and from Northern Shout Promotions, which highlights their catchy ska-punk songs and reputation as a strong live band.
