Brittany Howard is an American musician, singer and songwriter from Athens, Alabama. She is known as the lead vocalist, guitarist and main songwriter of Alabama Shakes and Thunderbitch, and she is also associated with Bermuda Triangle.

Her work spans alternative rock, americana, indie rock and neo soul, and her wider style is also linked with soul, blues, blues rock and funk rock. She releases solo material as well as performing with bands.

Howard’s debut solo studio album, Jaime, appears in 2019. Her work with Alabama Shakes and as a solo artist earns her four Grammy Awards from 11 nominations.
