Brett Anderson

Brett Anderson is an English singer-songwriter from Haywards Heath, United Kingdom, born in 1967. He is best known as the front man of Suede, the British rock band he joins in 1989 and continues with from 2010 onwards. His work is associated with alternative rock, britpop, indie rock and rock.

Suede

Anderson is most closely identified with Suede, where he serves as lead singer. The band first runs from 1989 to 2002, then returns in 2010 and continues as an active group. After their reformation for live shows, Suede develops into a full return to recording and issues five studio albums from 2013's Bloodsports onwards.

The Tears

He also fronts The Tears with former Suede guitarist Bernard Butler. The project is later on hiatus.

Solo work

Anderson releases four solo albums. His self-titled debut, Brett Anderson, appears in 2007 while Suede is on hiatus. Wilderness follows in 2008 and is described as a quieter, piano-led record. Slow Attack comes out in 2009 and completes a trio of solo albums in three years. Black Rainbows appears in 2011, after Suede reform.
