Break Even

Break Even are a melodic hardcore band from Perth, Australia, formed in 2005. The group’s line-up includes vocalist Mark “Mawds” Bawden, guitarist Stephen Sciutto, bassist Perri Basille and drummer Simon Dreja. Ash Pederick is also listed as a member. Former guitarist Rowan Willoughby played with the band until his death in 2008.

The band’s first release is the demo Roar in 2005, followed by the Young at Heart EP in 2006. They also record a split seven-inch with Something More. Their debut album, The Other Side, appears in 2009. In 2012 the band announces its split and plays its final shows at the Hardcore 2012 festival in Sydney.

Break Even also has plans to reunite, tour and finish and release an unfinished second studio album. The band is associated with hardcore, hardcore punk and melodic hardcore.
