Brava

Brava is a Brazilian rock group formed in 2001 in Barra da Tijuca, Rio de Janeiro. The band first performs under the name Magnólia before changing its name because another group from southern Brazil already uses it. It is a sextet and includes Bark on guitar, Fábio Escovedo on keyboards, Paula Marchesini on vocals, Galvão on drums and Bruno H. on bass.

Career

The group starts by playing in Rio de Janeiro, and these performances lead to awards at the London Burning and Rock Festival festivals. This momentum helps the band record the demo CD Aquele Jeito. Brava later signs to Universal Music and records the album Brava.

Notable songs and release

The band gains wider recognition through the songs “Todo Mundo Quer Cuidar de Mim” and “Só Porque Não é Bom”, both included on the national soundtrack of the teen series Malhação. Its discography includes Brava (2004).
