Bomba Estéreo

Bomba Estéreo is a Colombian electro band from Bogotá, formed in 2005. The group is active from 2005 and combines cumbia and electronic music, with cumbia and latin listed among its core genres.

Line-up

The group includes José Castillo, Simón Mejía, Julián Salazar and Li Saumet. It is led by Simón Mejía.

Recordings

The band releases its debut album Vol. 1 in 2007. Its second album, Estalla, follows, and the group tours it across Europe, Latin America and the United States. The original line-up includes Simón Mejía on songwriting, bass, loops and backing vocals, and Li Saumet on lyrics and lead vocals. Julián Salazar later joins on guitar and backing vocals. Enrique Egurrola is also added on drums and percussion after the first release.
