BMW

BMW is a group made up of Christian Burkhardt, Meat and Chris Wood. The name is used for more than one musical act: one BMW is a rap crew from Berlin, known as Berlin’s Most Wanted, with King Orgasmus One, Bass Sultan Hengzt and Godsilla listed as members; another is BMW from Aruba, also called Brothers Making Wisdom, which begins as a rap group and later develops into a multitalented act associated with Aruba and the wider Antilles. A third BMW is a Hungarian heavy metal band from the late 1980s.

The Aruba-based BMW has a long history on the island and is also active in Bonaire, Curaçao and other Antilles. It moves from rap into other styles and scores a number of hits there. Its carnaval classic “Wiper”, from 2000, breaks sales records on Aruba and remains a major road anthem for several years. The group is associated with rap and soca sounds.

BMW is also the name of the German car manufacturer, which appears in the statistics as the author of its official video podcast.
