Blythe

Blythe is the recording name of Robert Bishop Jr. He is born in Porterville, a small town in California’s San Joaquin Valley, and lives in Japan, where he performs mainly in the Tokyo area.

His music draws on a wide range of influences, including The Orb, His Name Is Alive, Cocteau Twins, The Future Sound of London, Harold Budd, Brian Eno, John Lee Hooker, Stars of the Lid, Thomas Fehlmann, Kraftwerk, Aphex Twin and Terry Riley.

He releases the track or recording puff, which attracts critical attention.
