Blue Lily Commission

Blue Lily Commission is the ethnic-dance-electronica solo project of Steve Palmer, who is also the founding member of the long-running psychedelic ambient band Mooch. The project begins in 2000 and releases eight albums over the years.

The music is mainly electronic, with influences from artists such as The Orb, Loop Guru and Shpongle, and it also draws heavily on Indian, North African and Arabian sounds. The catalogue includes some self-released albums, as well as releases on Rubbish Records and AmbientLive Records.

Among the named releases are Eastern Evening on Rubbish Records, Eve Songs and Bharatadubs on AmbientLive Records, The Nymphaea Collection, and the full-length album Unity. In 2013, the albums are reissued as downloads through Musiczeit. The project is also associated with Fruits de Mer Records.

Blue Lily Commission is planned to make its first live appearance at Awakenings in Burton-upon-Trent, UK.
