Blue Hour

Blue Hour is a techno producer associated with ambient techno, minimal techno and techno. The act comes from Toronto and is closely tied to the city’s underground music community.

The name refers to the period between daylight and darkness, and the project’s music aims to reflect that atmosphere. Its themes include loss, longing, anger and melancholy, alongside hope and excitement.

The group includes Steven, Margaret, Matt and Mark. Steven and Margaret are former members of Perdition, a band that is part of Toronto’s goth scene. Matt also plays with Pleasure the Priestess, and Mark has been in Bleep.

Blue Hour is working on a five-song EP and preparing to perform live.
