Bloom

Bloom is a Welsh band from Cardiff that has been active since 2013. It is a group name used by several different acts, but this Bloom is the Cardiff one.

Style and themes

The band is associated with melodic hardcore, metalcore, grime and electronic music. Its work centres on grief, love and exile, and pairs emotionally direct lyrics with heavy rhythms and strong hooks.

Career

Bloom builds its reputation through concept-driven releases and a live show that it develops alongside its recorded work. After its second EP, In Passing, it signs to Greyscale Records. It then works remotely with producer Christopher Vernon on its next release.

The band’s release Sink Into The Soil leads to its first headline tour in Australia and support slots for Void Of Vision, Ocean Grove and Bad Omens. It also plays festival dates at UNIFY Gathering and CVLTFEST, and later completes another national headline tour with Better Half. Bloom also tours with Thornhill, Holding Absence and Thousand Below, and appears at Good Things Festival.
