Bloodworm
Bloodworm is a Nottingham-based group active from 2021. The name is shared by several acts, including a solo project by Lee Davis and an earlier American band, but the Nottingham group is the one associated with the present-day entry.
Style and background
The band is linked with metalcore, mathcore, goth, death metal and goregrind. It is also described as a goth post-punk act from the Midlands in the UK.
Other Bloodworm projects
One Bloodworm project is led by Lee Davis, who is an author, artist and musician known for death metal, grindcore and goregrind work in Gross, Gaki and Icky. That project releases a 30-track album called Mourning Sickness.
Another Bloodworm forms in January 2009 in Fort Smith, Arkansas, later connected with Los Angeles, California. That line-up includes Brandon Rogers on guitar, Nick Antell on guitar, Tyler Berger on drums, Sheahan Alplanalp on vocals and Jacob Hoffman on bass. It records Disabler in June 2009, builds a following in northwest Arkansas and nearby areas, and later works on a second record, Water Moccasin, after a break in early 2011.
