Bloodshot

Bloodshot is a group from Frederick, Maryland, USA. The name is associated with several different acts and projects: a heavy metal band, a horrorcore rapper, and a short-lived side project.

Heavy metal band

As a band, Bloodshot is described as a groove metal, hard rock and heavy metal act from Maryland. It forms in 2000 and is a heavy and groove metal project rather than the Brussels hardcore band sometimes associated with the same name. This Maryland line-up includes former members of War Injun and Earthride.

Other uses of the name

Bloodshot also refers to a brutal hardcore, metalcore and deathcore band from Brussels, formed in 2000, whose sound draws on bands such as Hatebreed, Obituary and Six Feet Under. That version of Bloodshot releases two CDs, plays many shows across Belgium, Germany and Portugal, tours Europe with Agents of Man, and shares stages with acts including 100 Demons, Sworn Enemy, 25 Ta Life, Six Ft Ditch, Six Feet Under, Born From Pain, Irate, Arkangel and Heaven Shall Burn. A third album is planned under the title MURDER THE WORLD.

The name is also used by a horrorcore rapper who leaves Serial Killin Records, and by a one-off side project formed by ROADSAW bass player Tim Catz with Ian Ross, Hari Hassin and Honeyglazed drummer Nicky Kulund. That project is described as short-lived, with long-lost tracks later made available.
