Blood Fire Death is a German Bathory tribute group from Bruchsal, active since 2010. The project focuses on Bathory’s Viking era and presents songs using keyboard arrangements, acoustic guitars and vocal harmonies, aiming to stay close to the original compositions.

Repertoire and focus

The group centres its performances on material associated with Bathory’s later, more atmospheric phase, particularly songs from Hammerheart, Twilight of the Gods and Blood on Ice. Its live set is framed as an “evening with Bathory”, built around the band’s best-known Viking metal material.

Context

Bathory, the one-man project of Thomas “Quorthon” Forsberg, is widely associated with the development of black metal and later Viking metal. Blood Fire Death presents this repertoire as a tribute to that legacy.
