Blond:ish

Blond:ish is a dance and house act based in Canada and Europe. It begins as a duo and has been active since 2008, later becoming the solo project of Vivie-Ann Bakos. The project also includes Anstascia in its earlier line-up.

Music and releases

Blond:ish works in house, deep house, electronic, minimal and tech house, with music that blends electronic rhythms with world music influences. The project releases through Abracadabra Music and has also issued tracks on labels including Kompakt and Get Physical.

Performances and collaborations

Blond:ish gains wider attention in the late 2000s through club performances in London and Ibiza. The act also remixes for artists including Depeche Mode and appears regularly at festivals such as Burning Man and Coachella.

Activism and Abracadabra

Vivie-Ann Bakos uses the Abracadabra platform alongside the music project to promote eco-consciousness and positive living. She also launches the Bye Bye Plastic campaign, which aims to remove single-use plastics from events.
