Blessthefall

Blessthefall is an American post-hardcore, metalcore, screamo and emocore group from the United States, formed in 2004. The band starts in Phoenix, Arizona, and its line-up centres on guitarist Mike Frisby, drummer Matt Traynor and bassist and vocalist Jared Warth. It is active from 2004 to the present.

Formation and early releases

The group forms in 2004 with Frisby, Traynor and Warth. Their early release sequence includes Black Rose Dying and Blessthefall, followed by their debut studio album His Last Walk, which features original vocalist Craig Mabbitt.

Studio albums

His Last Walk is released in 2007. The band then releases Witness in 2009 with vocalist Beau Bokan, who becomes the second vocalist. Later studio albums are Awakening in 2011, Hollow Bodies in 2013, To Those Left Behind in 2015 and Hard Feelings in 2018. A release titled Gallows is also listed for 2025.

Band membership

Members listed for the group include Craig Mabbitt, Mike Frisby, Matt Traynor, Jared Warth, Eric Lambert and Beau Bokan. Additional members and contributors include Elliott Gruenberg on guitar, Jared Fron as a touring drummer, Miles Bergsma on guitar, and Andrew Barr on keyboards. Eric Lambert is listed on guitar from 2005, and Beau Bokan on clean vocals from 2008.

Activity and label

After Traynor leaves, Warth becomes the only remaining original member before the band becomes inactive in 2020. The group returns in 2023 with the song “Wake The Dead” and announces a tenth-anniversary tour for Hollow Bodies. It is signed to Rise Records, and also releases material through Blessthefall LLC.
