Blackwulf is an Oakland, United States heavy metal group formed in 2012. The band line-up includes vocalist Alex Cunningham, guitarist Pete Holmes, drummer Dave Pankenier and bassist Scott Peterson.

Their sound sits in the overlap of stoner rock, doom, psychedelic rock, desert rock and vintage heavy metal, with blues-influenced riffs and a harsh, aggressive edge. The group is described as drawing on dark, heavy textures as well as a melody-and-power approach rooted in older heavy metal styles.

Before and alongside Blackwulf, the members have played in other bands including San Francisco’s Acid King, The Nads, Tucson’s Naked Prey and Mountain Pig. Blackwulf release their debut album, Mind Traveller, in 2014 on Wicker Man Recordings, followed by Oblivion Cycle in 2015 on Ripple Music.
