BlackHoods

BlackHoods is an experimental music act associated with drone, psychedelic, dub, ambient and neo-psychedelia. The project is described in terms of a character called Mr Eel, who is imagined as the central figure behind a late-night, slow-moving jam style that blends heavy waves, blues elements and abstract psychedelic textures.

The act’s imagery centres on watery and maritime themes, with references to sonar-like pulses, geometric sound patterns and a ghostly choral atmosphere. Its sound is presented as delicate and surreal, with a focus on dense, dreamlike atmosphere rather than conventional song structure.
