Black Skies Burn are a British thrash metal, death metal and grindcore group from Oxford, active since 2005. The band is led by Korrupto and YBISCTU.

Style and influences

Their sound is described as a raw and extreme blend of blast beats, harsh riffs and guttural vocals, with death grind at its core. Their listed influences include Dying Fetus, Napalm Death, Cannibal Corpse, Brutal Truth, Pig Destroyer and Stampin Ground.

Career

Black Skies Burn are self-managed and operate as a four-piece. In 2012, the group goes through a major line-up change. They release a debut album titled To Punish and Enslave and sign to Bored Stiff Records in 2013. Their later line-up is presented as a heavier and faster version of the band’s sound.
