Black Sixteen

Black Sixteen is a London-based dark grunge rock band formed by songwriter Amir Khan and drummer Matt Burn. The line-up includes lead guitarist Chris Campion and bassist Warren Willis.

The band releases music under its own name and issues self-produced material. Its eponymous debut EP appears in early 2012. The group’s sound develops from a heavier rock style into a more abrasive dark grunge and noise approach.

Black Sixteen cites a wide range of influences, including Nine Inch Nails, Pixies, At The Drive-In, The Cure, Smashing Pumpkins, Refused, Nirvana, Tool, Faith No More, The Afghan Whigs, The White Stripes and Therapy?.

Other names associated with the act include Black 16, B16, and Red Light Princess.
