Black Rose

Black Rose are a Swedish heavy metal band with a career spanning 35 years. They are an eight-album group and their 2025 album The Mirror sits in a style rooted in classic 1980s heavy metal, with modern touches and a balance between melodic heavy metal and hard rock.

Musical style and recordings

Their sound draws on nostalgic, traditional heavy metal influences, and their material is described as including memorable hooks and melodic passages. The Mirror contains ten songs, including “Shine”, “The Labyrinth Of Me”, “Rebel Soul” and “Heaven”. The album also features guitar solos by Mikael Dahlin and vocals by Jacob Sandberg, and includes a power ballad approach on “Heaven”.
