Washington, D.C. indie band

One Birthday Girl is an indie band from Washington, D.C. The group consists of Mabel Canty on vocals, Isabella MacKaye on bass and Tess Kontarinis on drums. The band releases a self-titled debut record through Army Brat Records.

Cape Town electronic trio

Another Birthday Girl is a three-piece electronic band that combines acoustic instrumentation with found sounds. It includes Daniel Breiter, who is also associated with Fun Toy and HOOM, Dean Berger, a co-founder of Bateleur, and Glenn Stein of Los Tacos. The group comes out of the Cape Town music scene and begins as a side project. It later develops into a project the members want to share, and its music appears on SoundCloud. The band also maintains a Facebook presence and releases an EP titled Rituals on Bandcamp.
