Birdtalker

Birdtalker is an indie folk group from Nashville, United States. It is active from 2012 and centres on Zack and Dani Green, Andy Hubright, Brian Seligman and Jesse Baker.

Formation and membership

Zack and Dani Green marry in 2012 and begin writing songs together soon afterwards. Andy Hubright, a friend from college and the band’s drummer, joins in after hearing the early material. Brian Seligman later adds mandolin and guitar, and Jesse Baker then joins on bass. The group develops through this combination of writing and playing among friends.

Music and approach

Birdtalker writes songs as a way to communicate ideas and feelings the members care about. The band’s sound grows from the blend of voices, drums, mandolin, guitar and bass contributed by each member. Its music is described as a form of connection both within the group and with listeners.
