Bird Radio

Bird Radio is the solo music project of Mikey Kirkpatrick. He performs original compositions and works within new British folk music, drawing on a wide range of influences that include traditional folk tales and contemporary electronic music. The project is rooted in Herefordshire, where Kirkpatrick is from.

Performance and instrumentation

Kirkpatrick uses vocals, loops, effects, flutes, bones, homemade instruments and a red kick drum suitcase in performance. The act combines these elements to create an experimental approach to folk music.
