Bird On The Wire

Bird On The Wire is a Dutch dream pop group from Amsterdam, formed in 2010 by Rosa and Nina, with Thijs joining shortly afterwards. The group begins after Rosa is stranded in snowy Amsterdam with a broken bike, leading to a conversation with Nina about making music together. When Thijs arrives, the line-up becomes complete and the three start writing songs.

Their early material includes songs about cowboys at sea. The name Bird On The Wire comes from Leonard Cohen’s song of the same name. Thijs is described as a guitarist whose playing evokes Bob Dylan, The Band, and older American folk and blues styles.
