He performs and records as part of a long list of bluegrass and roots acts, including Bill Monroe and the Bluegrass Boys, Earth Opera, Muleskinner, Old & In the Way, Seatrain, The Rowans, Old & In the Gray, Steve Earle & The Train Band, Peter Rowan Bluegrass Band and Peter Rowan & Sam Grisman Project.
