Bigg Taj

Bigg Taj is a UK beatboxer, hip hop producer and lyricist from Glasgow. He finishes runner-up in the 2009 UK Beatbox Championships and begins performing onstage nearly a decade before that, building a reputation for rapid-fire rhythmic delivery and a wide range of sound effects in his performances.

He appears as a support act for a number of major hip hop artists, including Jurassic 5, GZA, Method Man & Redman, Immortal Technique, EL-P, MF DOOM, EPMD and Grandmaster Flash. He also works in theatre productions and is in demand with Scottish writer-directors including Cora Bisset and Davey Anderson.

Bigg Taj also performs as part of a duo with rapper Spee SixNine. He is supported by BBC Asian Network.
