Big Gigantic is an electronic and dance group from Boulder, United States, active since 2007. The group consists of Dominic Lalli and Jeremy Salken.

Overview

Big Gigantic is a project led by Dominic Lalli, who is also described as a Motet saxophonist and producer. The duo combines elements of a DJ setup and a live band performance, with Lalli and drummer Jeremy Salken working together on melodic arrangements and dance-oriented rhythms. Their music is built around saxophone lines, synth melodies and heavy beats, and it sits across electronic, dance, dubstep, trip hop and chillout styles.

Sound and performance

The act is noted for pairing saxophone with electronic production. Lalli’s sax solos and soulful synth parts are set against energetic drum patterns and club-focused beats, giving the music a live-band feel while still working within electronic dance formats.
