Big Black Delta

Big Black Delta is an electronic rock project based in Los Angeles, United States, led by Jonathan Bates, who is also known as the vocalist and bassist of Mellowdrone. The project begins in 2010 and is active from 2010 to the present.

Background

Big Black Delta operates as a solo project centred on Bates. It is associated with electronic, industrial, indie, ambient and noise sounds, as well as electronic rock. The project is based in Los Angeles and has released material under the Big Black Delta name since 2010.

Releases and activity

The first Big Black Delta release is BBDEP1, which appears in August 2010 as a free download. The follow-up release, BBDLP1, follows in 2011 and is also available as a free download for its first week, alongside special merchandise packages. Bates says he plans to release new Big Black Delta material every few months.

Collaborations and remixes

Big Black Delta collaborates with artists including War Widow, Alessandro Cortini and Morgan Kibby. The project also produces remixes for other acts, including M83, Puscifer and White Zombie.
