Beyond the Break was a progressive hardcore metal band from Dennison, Ohio. Final line-up included Lee (guitar) and Joey (drums). The band was formed in 2000 under the name "Post Dream Conspiracy" with a different lineup. The band went through line-up changes and renamed the band as SEPSIS. Before the current line up, the band changed their name to "Where The Abyss Lies" with Lee and Joey. The band found a new bassist and vocalist but was left to rebuild the band once again. In March 2008, the band was renamed "Beyond the Break" once new bassist Billay and vocalist Jordan joined the group. In June 2008, Jordan left the band to form Psychopomps, I Capture All Your Monsters and continue his solo work under Chandaka. Later in the fall, Billay left and the band found short replacements for bassist and vocalist but was soon left to rebuild the band from scratch as Fear Driven Violence with a completely new line-up.
