Beth Ditto
Beth Ditto is the stage name of Mary Beth Patterson, an American singer-songwriter from Searcy, Arkansas. She is best known for her work with the indie rock band Gossip.
Career
Ditto comes to wider public attention in November 2006, when NME names her number one in its annual Cool List. The magazine cites her non-conformity, including her identity as a lesbian, her advocacy of gay rights, and her punk attitude.
Her solo debut is the self-titled EP Beth Ditto, which appears in 2011. Her album Fake Sugar follows in 2017.
