Bent
Bent are an electronic duo from Nottingham, England, formed by Neil Tolliday, also known as Nail Tolliday, and Simon Mills. They are active from 2000 onwards and also found Sport Records. Their work sits within electronic, downtempo, chillout, ambient and electronica.
Albums and releases
The duo’s debut album, Programmed to Love, is issued in 2000 and becomes their best-known release. Other studio albums include The Everlasting Blink in 2002, Ariels in 2004 and Intercept! in 2006. Intercept! marks a more disco-pop direction. A later collection of remix and rework singles and EPs appears around Best of in 2009, followed by the 34-track From The Vaults: 1998-2006 in 2013.
Use in advertising
Programmed to Love gains wide use in advertising. The track “Invisible Pedestrian” appears in an Absolut Vodka commercial in 2003 and earlier in a Volkswagen bus commercial in the United States. “Private Road” is also used in a Carlsberg TV advert.

The name Bent is also used by several other acts, including a no-wave and post-punk trio from Brisbane, a power-pop band from Manila, and other groups and performers from Iceland, Indonesia and Australia.
