Benji Vaughan, also known as Benjamin Vaughan, is a British psychedelic trance and psybient musician. He works under a number of names and projects, including his solo project Prometheus and the collaboration Younger Brother with Twisted Records label colleague Simon Posford. Other credited aliases and projects include Junk, Prometheus Process and Citizen Kaned.

Style and approach

His music is known for prominent basslines, high production values, and extended thematic development. It often takes unconventional approaches to psytrance, combining diatonic melodic material with metallic or glitch-like percussive polyphonic elements to create dense contrapuntal textures.

Equipment and recordings

Although his productions can sound highly modern, he also uses older equipment. One example is a 1971 Korg micro synth, which he uses on parts of the second album Corridor of Mirrors.
