Ben Salter is a multi-genre musician from Townsville, Australia, associated with Queensland’s music scene. He works across indie, indie rock and alternative country, and has an established history as a live performer and touring musician.

Career

Salter performs in a range of bands and projects, including Giants of Science, The Gin Club, The Wilson Pickers, The Hi Waves, Fatal 4, Megafauna, The Young Liberals and Me & Stupid. He is also active as a solo artist.

Solo work

His first solo album, The Cat, is produced by Gareth Liddiard and Robert F Cranny. Salter is known for a strong vocal style and for writing literate lyrics.
