Straight out of Chicago (or California somewhere, I'm not really sure) Ben Read makes infectious music for children all ages. Brother of the famed multi-instrumentalist Dan Read, Ben's touring schedule keeps his live performance near flawless and always interesting. Ben has been reported to have stormed out of a venue in a rage after verbally attacking two audience members for talking during his performance. In an interview, Ben later apologized to the audience members, but maintained that they were "total toolbags" for talking.
Ben Read's debut CD, Murder In The Justice Quad, has earned him quite the cult following. His sophomore album (literally recorded in his sophomore year of college) tentatively titled Reading Rainbow, is slated for release in April of 2007.
