Bell Witch

Bell Witch is a Portuguese melodic death metal group from São Bartolomeu de Messines, formed in 1996. The band works in death metal and is also associated with doom metal, funeral doom metal, sludge and sludge metal.

The group forms as a duo around drummer Adrian Guerra, who is also associated with Sod Hauler and Lethe, and bassist Dylan Desmond, who is also associated with Samothrace. Bell Witch releases Longing and Four Phantoms before Guerra leaves the band for health reasons and later dies in 2016.

In 2017, with Jesse Shreibman on drums, the band releases Mirror Reaper, an 83-minute single piece that is dedicated to Guerra’s memory.
