Bedouin

Bedouin is a UK space rock group associated with Hawkwind. It is active between 1997 and 2003 and is founded by on/off Hawkwind bassist Alan Davey. The line-up includes guitarist Glenn Povey and drummer Danny Thompson Jr., with Danny Thompson given in the group membership. The band’s sound is described by Davey as hard rock with Arabic overtones and as a psychedelic Motörhead.

There is also a separate Brooklyn-based production and DJ partnership with the same name, formed by Rami Abousabe and Tamer Malki, who draw on Middle Eastern heritage, Western upbringing and travel in their electronic work.
