Becoming Rome

Becoming Rome are a four-piece metalcore band from Bristol, UK, formed in mid-2010. The members have previously played together in other bands before starting the group as a new project with a different direction.

Music and releases

The band’s first release is a self-titled EP, recorded during September and October 2010 and issued as a digital download at the end of December that year. It includes the tracks “Bow Down” and “Believe”. In July 2011, Becoming Rome record the single “In Arrogance” with producer Chuck Creese, who is associated with Evita and Trigger the Bloodshed; the track is then made available as a free download through the band’s Facebook page. The group also prepares a six-song EP with Chuck Creese for release in 2012.

Style and activity

The band is tagged as post-hardcore, metalcore, post hardcore and melodic metal. Their stated aim is to move further outwards as they begin to tour following the release of their EP.
