Beaty Heart

Beaty Heart are a UK four-piece group formed at Goldsmith College in 2010. The band begins as an audio-visual art collective before developing into a pop act with a strong emphasis on percussion, electronic sounds and psychedelic influences.

Line-up and sound

The group consists of four percussionists and multi-instrumentalists: Josh Mitchell, who plays vocals, guitars and electronics; Charlie Rotberg, who plays drums and electronics; James Moruzzi, who plays drums, vocals and electronics; and Thomas Gunning, who plays drums, electronics and vocals. Their music combines world music elements with electronic pop, and they are described as eclectic and neo-psych-infused.

In 2014, Beaty Heart release their debut full-length album, Mixed Blessings, on Caroline.
