Beatlemania

Beatlemania is a Beatles tribute group active from 1977 to 1984. It is best known as a Broadway show created by producers Steven Leber and David Krebs, who also have ties to Aerosmith. The production uses performers in character as the members of The Beatles and helps establish the template for many later Beatles tribute acts.

Line-ups and performance format

The first line-up features Joe Pecorino as John Lennon, Mitch Weissman as Paul McCartney, Leslie Fradkin as George Harrison and Justin McNeill as Ringo Starr. The show goes through various line-ups during its run, while keeping the same character-based format.

Recording

A soundtrack album is recorded from performances and released on Arista in 1978.
