Baskery

Baskery is a Swedish group from Stockholm made up of sisters Greta Bondesson, Stella Bondesson and Sunniva Bondesson. The group is active from 2006 and works with a sound built around distorted slide banjo, slap-driven upright bass and acoustic guitar. It is associated with country, bluegrass and blues.

Early background

Before forming Baskery, the members tour Sweden, Europe and the US with their former band Slaptones, which releases material on EMI and Capitol. Slaptones also includes their father, drummer Jan-Åke Bondesson.

Debut album

Baskery’s debut album, Fall Among Thieves, is recorded live on stage at Decibel Studios with engineer and producer Lasse Mårtén. Mårtén also works with artists including Sahara Hotnights, Pink, Lykke Li and Peter Bjorn and John.
