Barbagallo is the performance name of Carlo Barbagallo, an Italian musician, composer and arranger, sound engineer and producer from Siracusa in Sicily. He is self-taught and works across a range of styles including pop, dream pop, art rock, avant-jazz, folk-prog and electro-ambient.

His music is associated with lo-fi and improvised approaches, and it combines elements that move between song-based writing and more experimental forms. The project is identified with the Italian scene and with Barbagallo’s work as a solo artist under his own performance name.
