Banshee

Banshee is a US heavy metal and power metal band from the Midwest, formed in the spring of 1986 by vocalist Tommy Lee, bassist Chuck Hoplkins, drummer Kent Burnham and guitarist Terry Dunn. Lee and Hoplkins previously play in Lick, Burnham comes from Crypt Keeper, and Dunn is known for his work with the Kansas City group Frodo.

Early releases and label history

The band releases its first EP, Cry In The Night, in late 1986. Its first full-length album, Race Against Time, follows in 1989 on Atlantic Records’ Titanium label and appears on vinyl, CD and cassette. After that release, the band parts ways with Atlantic Records.

Later work

In 1993, Banshee self-releases its second full-length album, Take 'Em By Storm. The band breaks up shortly after the album’s initial release. In 2020, Take 'Em By Storm is reissued by NoLifeTillMetal Records.
