Ballet School

Ballet School are a Berlin, Germany-based group active since 2012. They are a trio made up of vocalist Rosie Blair, guitarist Michel Collet and drummer Louis McGuire. Another member listing gives the group as Rosalind Blair and Rosie Blair.

The band begin playing together in December 2012. Their sound draws on 1980s pop, shoegaze and R&B, and they are associated with dream pop, electropop and electronic music. The group describe their work as aiming for a vibrant, colourful sound intended to be experienced live.

The name and presentation of the project also centre on the idea of grace, with imagery of ballet and physical discipline used to frame the music’s identity.
