Baio

Baio is the solo project of Chris Baio, a musician from the United States best known as the bassist in Vampire Weekend and as a member of C.Y.M. His work is associated with indie rock, electronic music and related club-oriented styles including house, electronica, indietronica and tropical influences.

Background

Before focusing on recording and performance as Baio, he runs a radio station, throws basement shows and DJs parties at Columbia University in New York. He lives in Brooklyn.

Performance and style

His music reflects an interest in dance music and a broad approach to genre. As a DJ and live performer, he appears at clubs in cities including Ibiza, Paris, Sydney and Seoul.
