Bagas Degol
Bagas Degol is a Cornish group active since 2001. Their name is Cornish for “feast day band”. They form to play processions, festivals and other celebrations in West Cornwall.
Music and projects
The group works with Cornish and Breton repertoire, and also uses dub rhythms. Their 1399 CD is a side project that combines some of that repertoire with dub, alongside remixes of other Cornish artists. The group continues to perform and work on a second volume of 1399.
